This is a fine original colored drypoint etching by American artist Mathilde J. DE CORDOBA.  This image of a young girl showing off her new ballet slippers.  The image measures 14 1/2X10 1/2 inches.  Hand signed in pencil lower right border. Printed on a medium weight wove type paper.  Mathilde De Cordoba (1882 – 1944) was an American painter and printmaker known for her child portraits. De Cordoba produced prints for the Works Progress Administration (WPA). Her work is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the National Gallery of Art, and the Print Collection of The New York Public Library.
