Edge of the Pasture
A magnificent landscape by Thomas Nason created in 1935. Measuring 6 x 10 inches, it is the second state in an edition of 60. Signed in the plate and also pencil signed, dated and numbered on the lower margin, it is #186 in the BPL catalog. Nason was know for his extraordinary ability to capture not only the look, but also the feel of the New England landscape. He used incredibly delicate lines to create rich texture and values through out his landscapes which are apparent here in this idyllic scene.
