This early 20th. century Franco/American oil painting by Rene du'l Arnet(?) measures 25 x 30 inches. Framed in a period gilt frame this fine impressionistic water scene with sunlit fields in the distance is well painted using a subtle color palette with a nice tonal and textural range.

This drawing by Dexter Dawes measures 21 1/4 x 14 1/2 inches and is dated "July 7, 1929" on the lower margin. Dawes was born in Englewood, NJ and went on to study at New York City's Art Student League. He summered in Marlboro, NH surrounded by beautiful gardens with views of Mount Monadnock which became the inspiration for many of his lithographs and drawings. He belonged to a number of associations including the National Arts Club
