This is an evocative original lithograph by British post-modernist artist Reg Butler. The image size is 16 3/8 x 7 5/8 inches, published in 1955 in a very small edition of 18 impressions, pencil signed, dated and numbered. In 1953 Butler won the 'Unknown Political Prisoner' competition and became one of the foremost British sculptors of the 20th century, known for his slightly abstracted female nudes.
