A lovely atmospheric oil on wood panel by the Dutch artist Julius Jacobus van de Sande Bakhuyzen. Image size is 6 3/4 x 10 5/8 inches, framed size is 10 3/4 x 14 1/2 inches, signed l.l., housed in a period qilt frame, c. 1890. Bakhuyzen was born in 1835 in Holland, the son of a well known painter, Hendrik van de Sande Bakhuyzen, who instucted him until he entered the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague.

This framed serigraph by Harry Shokler measures 18 1/2 x 14 1/4 inches and is hand signed in ink within the image, framed. Artist provenance on label on backing. Harry Shokler was born in Ohio and studied at the Cincinnatti Art Academy and the New York School of Fine and Applied Arts. Known as a Regionalist painter and printmaker, Shokler was one of the pioneers of the serigraph or silkscreen process of printmaking and in 1946 wrote one of the foremost books on the process, the "Artist's Manual for Silkscreen Printmaking".

This charcoal drawing by John(Jack)Fenton measures 10 x 14 inches and is pencil signed on the lower right corner. In this image, Fenton depicts local characters gathering at the blacksmith shop to catch up on daily events. Fenton was a native of New York and studied at Columbia University and the New York School of Art. He became a painter, illustrator and teacher with his works exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago.
