Cascade de Flumen

Watercolor, image size 14 1/4 x 18 1/4 inches, laid down on board, unsigned but identification of location on back in French which indicates it's Cascade Flumen near Saint Claude, a small town in France.

This 1906 etching by Jules de Bruycker measures 13 1/4 x 5 3/8 inches. It is pencil signed and titled and plate dated. Jules de Bruycker was a Belgium born artist whose images were inspired by ordinary people on the streets and in the market places. Heavily influenced by Frank Brangwyn and James Whistler, he was considered the most important Belgian etcher in the early 20th Century.
