American Badger and Maryland Marmot Woodchuck Groundhog, Old and Young
Two hand colored period lithographs, each image size approx. 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches, c. 1850, drawn from nature by J.J. Audubon, drawn on stone by W.E. Hitchcock, Printed by J.T. Bowen, Philadelphia. American Badger inscribed: "No. 10" and "Plate XLVII". Maryland Marmot Woodchuck Groundhog inscribed: "No. 1" and "Plate II". Both prints feature very rich original colors, but have tape residue and toning around the edges of the sheet, not effecting the image area. (M)
