A rare early French genre painting depicting a traveling vendor with his peep show. A unique country setting of a mother and her children viewing a display titled "Le Vrai Jesus". The painting has been lined and has some areas of inpainting, mostly the bottom edge and upper right. The painting may have been reduced in size. Period gilt frame. Oil on canvas measuring 30 x 25 inches, the overall frame size measures: 41 X 36 inches.

The Fisherman's Home

This richly inked print from the Baldwin-Wallace College collection is also signed in pencil by the artist along the lower right edge of the image.
