This is a gorgeous original etching in colors with a remarkable sense of movement and energy. Image size 14 5/8 x 25 inches, 1927, pencil signed, with a blindstamp in the lower left margin. Born in Toulouse, France, Icart moved to Paris as a young man where he began studying art and working as an artist in the fashion industry. He became known for his iconic Art Deco style etchings of young women, his images combining an impressionistic influence with a 20th century sense of femininity and fashion.
