A great scene of fishing boats on the North Shore of Massachusetts by American artist John Hare. Watercolor on paper, sight size 13 1/2 x 16 1/2 inches, c. 1940s, signed lower right, framed. Provenance: Associated American Artists, with a partial label. John Hare was born in New York and studied art at the Pratt Institute and the Art Students League, before moving to Massachusetts. He was known for his vibrant watercolors of the Massachusetts and Florida coasts, and was active in the artist communities of both states.

Etching and drypoint, early proof of this rare image, image size 7 7/8 x 11 7/8 inches, 1911, cat: Schwartz-76, inscribed "probedruck" (test print) l.l. and signed l.r. both in red crayon, blindstamp l.l. just below image. Corinth began his art career studying at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich and went on to study under Bouguereau at the Academie Julian in Paris. He then returned to Germany and became a member and then president of the Berlin "Sezession".

This fine pencil drawing of a giant pine tree with its wooded surroundings, by local Marlboro, NH artist, Dexter Dawes measures 15 x 11 inches and is sketched on a medium weight, gray paper. Dawes summered in southern NH, with its' majestic views of Mt. Monadnock where many of his inspirations for his drawings, paintings and lithographs came from.
