View of the Amalfi Coast

This is a vibrant original painting of a harbor on the Italian coast in the distinctive style of Augusto Corelli (1853-1910). Gouache on paper, 8 7/8 x 13 3/8 inches, c. 1890s, unsigned, framed. Although this painting is unsigned, the style, subject and palette strongly suggest the work of Augusto Corelli, an Italian artist known for his brilliantly colored scenes of Capri, Naples and the Amalfi Coast.
