Oil on canvas, 14 x 20 inches, signed lower left. Marie Osthaus Griffith was the older sister of Edmund Henry Osthaus, one of the most successful painters of hunting dogs in the United States in the 19th century.
Etching after Daniel Ridgway Knight, image size 4 x 6 inches, pencil signed, framed.
Watercolor signed and dated 1794. Signature on back with inscription "ad vivum fesit vigli", meaning "made to live." 4 1/2 x 7 1/4 inches on wove-type paper.
