This is a very fine original landscape, watercolor on paper, 10 5/8 x 16 inches, clearly signed "Henry Brooke, London". Born in Dublin, Henry Brooke lived in London from 1761-1767, where he painted landscapes and historical scenes.

Catalog reference: Schneiderman No. 24. The Test was supposedly a popular fishing spot on the Hampshire river. This is one of many fishing-themed prints by the artist. Print measures 5 7/8 x 8 7/8 inches. Provenance H.V. Allison & CO.
