Watercolor, sight size 14 x 19 3/4, signed "Royal H Milleson" l.r, framed. Royal Hill Milleson lived most of his life in the mid-west, except for several years he spent in Boston at the turn of the century. He specialized in landscapes, and was a member of the Chicago Society of Artists and the Boston Art Club.

This is a gorgeous original etching with aquatint by Taos NM artist Doel Reed. The image size is 9 7/8 x 13 7/8 inches, 1941, pencil signed. A rich impression on a medium weight watermarked wove type paper with ample margins. Doel Reed studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy under Frank Duveneck and Joseph Henry Sharp, learning a very classical style of drawing and painting. After serving in France during WWI, Reed focused on printmaking and was especially inspired by the aquatints of Francisco Goya.
