Etching, image size 6 7/8 x 5 3/8 inches, c. 1940, pencil signed and titled. Byxbe, a talented etcher of the early 20th century, drew much of his inspiration from the mountainous Colorado landscape. In this etching he uses strong lines and bold contrast to depict the rugged terrain.

Oil on canvas, sight size 16 1/2 x 40 inches, c. 1910, signed l.l. "F. Weber", framed. Weber grew up in Columbia, SC but was educated in Germany where he graduated in Berlin in 1903. His artistic education began in Paris at the Ecole National des Beaux Arts and the Julian Academy. Ferdinand Humbert, Jean Paul Laurens, Raoul Verlet and Paul Richer were his teachers. He is known for his etchings, sculptures and paintings which are exhibited in many public and private collections.

This drawing by Dexter Dawes measures 18 3/4 x 24 3/4 inches. It is signed in the lower right corner. Dawes was born in Englewood, NJ and went on to study at New York City's Art Student League. He summered in Marlboro, NH surrounded by beautiful gardens with views of Mount Monadnock which became the inspiration for many of his drawings and lithographs. He belonged to a number of associations including the National Arts Club.
