This 1862 oil on canvas by the British artist Alfred Vickers measures 11 3/4 x 15 3/4 inches, signed and dated l.l., housed in original frame, partial European label on back. Born in London, Vickers was a self-taught landscape painter, who exhibited at the British Institute and the Royal Academy.

This original etching and aquatint, created in 1894 by August-Louis Lepere, measures 5 5/8 x 6 3/4 inches and is pencil signed. Collectors stamp on l.r., not in the Saunier catalogue. August-Louis Lepere was one of the leading French printmakers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He began studying printmaking at the age of 13 with Joseph Burn Smeeton in Paris and quickly made a name for himself with his innovative style and technically brilliant etchings and wood engravings.

A lovely watercolor by the American artist, Horace Burdick. It measures 6 3/4 x 8 3/4 inches and is matted. Burdick attended the Museum School of Fine Arts in Boston and was known throughout his career as a portrait and landscape painter. He did many White Mountain scenes as well as New England coastal scenes. This image is from the artists' estate.
