This is a vibrant original still life, oil on canvas, 21 1/2 x 17 1/4 inches, c. 1920s-1930s, signed, framed. This painting appears to have been resized; there is a signature but it is on the edge of the canvas that has been folded over the stretcher and can only be seen from the back of the painting. Von Schlegell was a New York artist known for his vibrant still lives and landscapes.
