This framed etching by George Shorey measures 7 1/8 x 11 7/8 inches and is pencil signed on the lower right margin. Games of marbles, jump-rope, crack the whip, baseball, tag, telling of tall tales, the teacher admonishing a student, and let us not forget the sneaking out of detention game all rendered in this one image illustrates Shorey's attention to detail and his ability to create energy and movement on a two dimensional surface.

This drawing by Dexter Dawes measures 18 3/4 x 24 3/4 inches. It is signed in the lower right corner. Dawes was born in Englewood, NJ and went on to study at New York City's Art Student League. He summered in Marlboro, NH surrounded by beautiful gardens with views of Mount Monadnock which became the inspiration for many of his drawings and lithographs. He belonged to a number of associations including the National Arts Club.
