Mount Monadnock
1877-1963, American

A lovely view of Mount Monadnock by the American Impressionist, Everett Longley Warner. Sight size is 11 1/2 x 15 1/4 inches and is signed on the l.r., c. 1940. Warner was a successful painter and printmaker. While studying at the Arts Student League with George Bridgmen his work was included in many art competitions including at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and the National Academy of Design. He was a founding member of the Old Lyme Art Colony in Connecticut along with Childe Hassam and Abbott Thayer. Framed, with artist provenance on the backing.

The Spire of Lyme
1872- c.1950, American

"The Spire of Lyme" lithograph by Dexter Dawes measures 15 1/4 x 11 1/8 inches. It is pencil signed on the lower margin. Dawes was born in Englewood, NJ and went on to study at New York City's Art Student League. He summered in Marlboro, NH surrounded by beautiful gardens with views of Mount Monadnock which became the inspiration for many of his lithographs and paintings. He belonged to a number of associations including the National Arts Club.
