Route Du St. Gothard
1821-1893, French

Engraving, image size 6 5/8 x 4 7/8 inches, c. 1875, lettered below the image, "Dessine et Grave par Paul Girardet" and titled "Route du St. Gothard, Canton d'Uri."

Painting

A Sunlit Path
1837-1908, American

Oil on canvas, 20 x 14 inches in a 25 by 18 1/2 gold period frame. Because this has only a partial signature we are only able to attribute this work to Alfred Bricher. Upon cleaning of the painting, a partial signature was revealed in the lower left. The technique and composition also is very similar to many well known works by this artist. There is an area at the lower edge of this painting which has been inpainted but not the signature...The frame appears to be the original one. We feel the setting of this work might be from Lake George N.Y.
