A New England native, Watson graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and later in life co-founded the Berkshire Summer School of Art. He possessed a genuine desire for all to be able to understand the nuances of art and so began a lifelong career of creating instructional books and magazines on how to draw, paint and sculpt.
