Photo, silver gelatin print, image size 10 3/8 x 13 1/2 inches, c. 1950, original photograph, artist stamp on back. Hand studied law at New York University but his true love was of trains and photographing them. Hand traveled the world photographing railways for the more than fifty-five years and in that time his work was published widely in railway periodicals, books and magazines including "Train" magazine published in the 1950's.

Oil on canvas, 20 x 16 inches, signed "H. Foley" lower right. There is an inscription on the back of the canvas which appears to read "View of Strasburg."

Etching by the French artist Hubert Von Herkomer measures 7 3/4 x 4 3/4 inches, plate initialed, titled and dated, 1878.

Watercolor on paper, 3 3/8 x 4 5/8 inches, signed in ink lower left. Housed in a period frame, possibly original to the painting, but recently rematted with archival materials. An old label on the back gives the title and location and is also signed by the artist.
