Watercolor on paper, sight size 13 3/4 x 11 1/2 inches, c. 1960s, signed in the lower right corner, in the original silver metal frame with the artist's stamp on the back. Wotiz graduated from Brown University and became known for her oils and watercolors of the New England landscape and shoreline. She was a member of the North Shore Arts Association, the Concord Art Association and the Western Maine Art Group. (M)

Hercules et Omphale

Engraving, image size 16 x 19 15/16 inches, JW Randall 3709, signed in plate. Hercules inadvertently murders Iphitus. His punishment is to serve as a slave to Omphale, the queen of Lydia, in a comic tale of gender role reversal.

Monadnock View

This hilltop view of Mt. Monadnock by Dexter Dawes, measures 10 1/4 x 13 3/4 inches and is pencil signed and dated 1932. Dawes was born in Englewood, NJ and went on to study at New York City's Art Student League. He summered in Marlboro, NH surrounded by beautiful gardens with views of Mount Monadnock which became the inspiration for many of his lithographs and paintings. He belonged to a number of associations including the National Arts Club.
