This industrial etching by the German artist, Hans Klemke, measures 15 1/4 x 11 1/4 inches, pencil signed, c.1950. Klemke had extensive knowledge about the workings of these great mines and was known for his etchings and paintings of these industrial areas along the Rhine and the Ruhr.

This Victorian landscape by the British artist, Henry Charles Fox is signed and dated on the lower right, sight size is 14 3/4 x 21 1/2 inches, housed in a period, carved gold frame measuring 18 3/4 x 25 1/2 inches. Fox was known for his superb rural landscapes depicting farm animals and country folk going about their daily routines. He was first accepted at the Royal Academy at age 25 in 1880 and was elected a full member of the Royal Society of British Artists in 1889.
