A great Paris etching by Austrian artist Lilly Steiner, image size 13 3/8 x 9 5/8 inches, 1923, edition of 50, pencil signed and dated. Steiner created this expressive image of the Eiffel Tower the year Gustave Eiffel died, possibly as an homage to the architect.

This beautifully colored etching and aquatint portrait measures 12 x 9 3/4 inches on 24 x 17 3/8 inch arches laid type paper. Print 26 in an edition of 65. C. 1903. Published by Sagot, Paris. Robbe studied at the Academie Julien and the Ecole des Beaux Artes, becoming a master of the aquatint medium. He developed much of his own aquatint techniques, which enabled him to create his uniquely painterly, richly colored images.
