A beautiful Impressionistic garden scene, this painting measures 12 1/2 x 16 inches, oil on canvas, c. 1890, unsigned, framed. Known for her portraits and Impressionist inspired landscapes and garden scenes, Eurilda Loomis France studied art in Paris with Constant, Lefebvre, and Carolus-Duran. She lived in Paris with her husband, Jesse Leach France, for several years before returning to the United States and settling in New York.

Rocky Outcropping
1872- c.1950, American

A fine pencil drawing by Dexter Dawes done on a heavy weight paper. It measures 7 5/8 x 11 inches. Dawes was born in Englewood, NJ and went on to study at New York City's Art Student League. He summered in Marlboro, NH surrounded by beautiful gardens with views of Mount Monadnock which became the inspiration for many of his lithographs and paintings. He belonged to a number of associations including the National Arts Club.
