This landscape by Dexter Dawes measures 12 x 16 inches, is signed and dated 1934. Dawes was born in Englewood, NJ and went on to study at New York City's Art Student League. He summered in Marlboro, NH surrounded by beautiful gardens with views of Mount Monadnock which became the inspiration for many of his lithographs and paintings. He belonged to a number of associations including the National Arts Club.

Woodblock, image size 4 x 6 1/2 inches, 1937, initialed in the plate, pencil signed and dated. As is typical with this artist, he hand signed and dated his images on the paper window mat rather than the sheet itself.
