Still Life With Flowers
1872- c.1950, American

This pastel still life by Dexter Dawes measures 21 1/8 x 14 1/8 inches and is signed by the artist in the lower right corner. Dawes was born in Englewood, NJ and went on to study at New York City's Art Student League. He summered in Marlboro, NH surrounded by beautiful gardens with views of Mount Monadnock which became the inspiration for many of his lithographs and paintings. He belonged to a number of associations including the National Arts Club.

Image size 11 3/4 x 7 1/4 inches, signed "Baskin" lower right, notated "A. P." lower left, cat: Fern & O'Sullivan- 529, printed on an Italian watermarked wove type paper with ample margins.
