Mountain Landscape

This watercolor landscape by Horace Burdick measures 4 7/8 x 6 3/4 inches and is signed on the lower left and matted. Burdick attended the Museum School of Fine Arts in Boston and was known throughout his career as a portrait and landscape painter of oils and watercolors. He did many White Mountain scenes as well as New England coastal scenes. This image is from the artists estate.

The Captain's House

This is a fine original lithograph of the sundrenched village of Monhegan, Maine. The image size is 7 5/8 x 13 1/2 inches, published in 1945 in an edition of 60, cat: Stuckey-151, pencil signed. Wengenroth was one of the preeminent lithographers of 20th century America, known for his atmospheric, incredibly detailed images of the New England landscape and coastline. He studied at the Art Students League and the Grand Central School of Art in New York, and in the summers studied with John Carlson in Woodstock NY and George Ennis in Eastport ME.
