Self portrait by American artist Laura Lee,oil on canvas, measuring 32 x 16 inches in a 35 x 18 1/2 inch silver frame. This painting came to us in a very small frame and was folded over to fit that frame..We had the work resized back to the original that the artist intended . The painting is signed and dated in the lower left,1919. Laura Lee lived in Boston, Massachusetts, where she was a member of the Copley Society and exhibited with the Boston Art Club as well as the Pennsylvania Academy and the Art Institute of Chicago.

Soho Alley

Etching and drypoint, image size 4 7/8 x 13 1/8 inches, 1912, printed on cream wove paper. Addams was born in New Jersey and attended the Drexel Institute there. He won a Philadelphia Academy Cresson Traveling Scholarship and entered Whistler’s Academy in Paris in 1899. In the 1900′s, London’s working class Italian Soho district was the subject of many artists of the day including Whistler's shop-front prints such as T.A. Nash’s Fruit Shop. The horizontal format and the density of the etching work is comparable to many of Whistler Amsterdam prints.

This mixed media drawing by Dexter Dawes measures 11 3/8 x 10 inches on medium weight paper. Dawes summered in southern NH with its' majestic views of Mt. Monadnock, where many of his inspirations for his drawings, paintings and lithographs came from.
