In her description of this etching, Schneider writes that "there is a good match between the sensibilities of the painter, Henry Ward Ranger (1858-1916), and the printmaker, Parrish, so the result is a masterful etching."

According to Schneider, this atmospheric image of the Massachusetts shore was one of Parrish's most popular etchings. This print features a very richly inked impression with beautiful plate tone, printed on a medium weight wove type paper with ample margins.
