A fine lithograph by Robert Von Neumann measuring 8 x 10 3/4 inches on wide, clean margins. Sheet size is 12 x 13 3/4 inches with the artist's signature and title in pencil on the lower margin. Born in Germany and coming to the US in 1926 Von Neumann became known as an American scene printmaker and painter. He identified with the common folk and liked to depict hard working people going about their daily tasks. He made it a point to include a human figure in his images and one that imparted a message.

This drawing by Dexter Dawes measures 18 3/4 x 24 3/4 inches. It is signed in the lower right corner. Dawes was born in Englewood, NJ and went on to study at New York City's Art Student League. He summered in Marlboro, NH surrounded by beautiful gardens with views of Mount Monadnock which became the inspiration for many of his drawings and lithographs. He belonged to a number of associations including the National Arts Club.
