Cathedrale de Reims
One of Lepere's best known large scale efforts is this view of daily life involving Reims Cathedral done in 1911. The image size is 14 1/8 x 10 13/16 with a sheet size of 19 1/4 x 15 1/2 inches printed on Lepere’s own laid paper with his watermark of a snail and initials AL. It is plate signed and also pencil signed in an edition of 150. At the early age of thirteen, Lepere began his artistic education as the understudy of engraver Burn Smeeton.
