Oil on canvas, sight size 17 x 12 inches, 1918,unsigned, attributed to Joseph Elliot Enneking, an American Impressionist painter known for his New England landscapes. There is a hand written title "Hog Island, Maine" and date "June 27 1918" on the bottom edge of the canvas and on the back but no clear signature. Period Gilt Frame

The Lookout: "All's Well"

A stunning original etching by American artist William Bicknell (1860-1947) after the painting by Winslow Homer. This is a very rare early pencil signed proof, before the remarque and lettering of the Hamburg-American Steamship Line. The plate size is 27 3/8 x 20 1/2 inches, published in 1906 by the John A. Lowell Bank Note Co., Boston, plate signed by Homer, pencil signed by Bicknell. This is a superb, richly inked impression on a heavy weight wove type paper with ample margins.

Grove of Trees

A fine pencil sketch of a grove of trees with a landscape in the background by Dexter Dawes, measuring 7 1/2 x 11 inches on a medium weight drawing paper. Dawes summered in Marlboro, NH surrounded by beautiful gardens with views of Mount Monadnock which became the inspiration for many of his lithographs, drawings and paintings. He belonged to a number of associations including the National Arts Club.
