This original landscape by H. Wayland depicts a child walking along a peaceful country lane. An oil on canvas measuring 12 x 23 inches with the artists' signature in the lower right and a brass plaque with the artists name on the lower center. It appears to be housed in its original frame. Title is on the reverse.


Port of Algiers
1850-1921, American

This etching by the American artist, Lemuel David Eldred, measures 13 5/8 x 22 1/2 inches, pencil signed, created in 1889. This scene shows everyday life in the port city of Algiers with the ancient structure of the French Admiralty Building serving as its grand entrance. This is a rare large version of the one in the Benac book. Eldred was born near the whaling community of New Bedford, Massachusetts and is known for his landscapes and harbor scenes. He painted with William Bradford in Fairhaven Conn.


Waterside Study
1848 - 1921, American

Watercolor, image size 6 x 8 1/2 inches. McAuliffe was active in the late 19th century and produced public works especially in Everett, Mass: Roman Catholic Cathedral, St John's; Parlin Library. His specialties were maritime and religious subjects.
