This elegant etching done in 1929 by the British printmaker, Gerald Leslie Brockhurst measures 8 3/8 x 6 3/4 inches and is pencil signed, framed. Born in England and found to be artistically talented at an early age, he was enrolled in the Royal Academy Schools. A scholarship enabled him to study in France and Italy where Botticelli and da Vinci had a lasting influenced on him. A self-taught etcher who became one of the best portrait etchers in art history.
