Still Life With Flowers

This pastel still life by Dexter Dawes measures 21 1/8 x 14 1/8 inches and is signed by the artist in the lower right corner. Dawes was born in Englewood, NJ and went on to study at New York City's Art Student League. He summered in Marlboro, NH surrounded by beautiful gardens with views of Mount Monadnock which became the inspiration for many of his lithographs and paintings. He belonged to a number of associations including the National Arts Club.

Pencil signed in the lower right, plate signed and dated in the lower left. Plate measures 4 1/4 x 5 3/4 inches on thin 7 1/2 x 10 1/4 laid type paper. Printed in 1914. Edition 100.
