Watercolor on paper, sight size 13 3/4 x 11 1/2 inches, c. 1960s, signed in the lower right corner, in the original silver metal frame with the artist's stamp on the back. Wotiz graduated from Brown University and became known for her oils and watercolors of the New England landscape and shoreline. She was a member of the North Shore Arts Association, the Concord Art Association and the Western Maine Art Group.

Atwood Pond

This richly toned wood engraving of Atwood Pond done by Herbert Waters measures 7 x 9 1/4 inches, printed in an edition of 45, with wide margins on very light weight paper. It is pencil signed, titled and numbered. Atwood Pond is located in the Campton area of the White Mountains where Waters and his wife lived for many years. Born in China of missionary parents, he graduated from high school in Shanghai and then moved to the US to pursue his art career. After college at Dennison University he taught at UNH and the Holderness School and became an artist for NH's WPA project.

Very nice sketch of a tree, standing alone in a meadow, with clouds in the background. This Dexter Dawes pencil sketch is dated 1913 and measures 6 x 9 inches and has sketching notes in the artists' hand on the lower margin.
