Painting

A River View in Summer
1841-1916, American

This is a very fine original painting, watercolor on paper, sight size 15 1/2 x 21 inches, signed in the lower left corner, framed. Although the signature is hard to discern, we believe it to read "Enneking 92", and the style and palette of this painting certainly reflect the elder Enneking's work.

Print

Pomegranate
1922-2000, American

This woodcut by Leonard Baskin measures 4 x 4 1/4 inches with a sheet size measuring 17 x 17 1/2 inches. The image was drawn by Rico Lebrun and cut by Baskin for a novella by Herman Melville entitled "The Encantadas", ten philosophical sketches on the Encantadas or Galapagos Islands. Printed on Shogun paper and published in 1963 by "The Gehenna Press" in an edition of 150, it is listed in the Fern and O'Sullivan catalogue as #440.

Drawing

Meadow View
1872- c.1950, American

A very nice pencil drawing of a distant meadow viewed through a shaded grove of trees by Dexter Dawes. It measures 11 x 7 5/8 inches, on a bi-fold sheet of medium weight paper. Dawes spent many summers in the Marlboro, NH area drawing and painting the incredible natural beauty that surrounded him.
