Vibrant oil seascape, c. 1880, by British artist, Sarah Louisa Kilpack. Painting size measures 4 3/4 x 8 1/4 inches in a period frame that measures 10 x 13 inches, signed l.l., oil on paper on board, location written on backing. Born in London in 1839, Sarah Louisa Kilpack was recognized as a talented pianist and artist but after a series of misfortunes she gave up the piano and concentrated exclusively on her painting.

Empire State Building From the Hudson
1872- c.1950, American

This lithograph by Dexter Dawes measures 12 x 14 3/4 inches and is pencil signed on the lower right. Dawes was born in Englewood, NJ and went on to study at New York City's Art Student League. He summered in Marlboro, NH surrounded by beautiful gardens with views of Mount Monadnock which became the inspiration for many of his lithographs and paintings. He belonged to a number of associations including the National Arts Club.
