Autumn Landscape

This early 20th. century oil painting by Rene de'l Arnet(?) measures 25 x 30 inches. This fine impressionistic water scene with sunlit fields in the distance is well painted using a subtle color palette with a nice tonal and textural range.

Etching, image size 15 1/2 x 10 inches, pencil signed and dated 1939, inscribed Roman numeral V in pencil and dedicated "To my friend Timothy Parforman in deep and lasting appreciation, from John Taylor Arms - 1943." Also called Fraternite, Egalite, Liberte.


Grove of Trees
1872- c.1950, American

A fine pencil sketch of a grove of trees with a landscape in the background by Dexter Dawes, measuring 7 1/2 x 11 inches on a medium weight drawing paper. Dawes summered in Marlboro, NH surrounded by beautiful gardens with views of Mount Monadnock which became the inspiration for many of his lithographs, drawings and paintings. He belonged to a number of associations including the National Arts Club.
