Rest

This is an original etching and aquatint by American artist Doel Reed (1894-1985) The title of this work is "Rest". It was created and printed in 1941 in an edition of 250. The image measures 11X16 3/4 inches. The condition is very nice, only a tiny repair at the bottom edge of the sheet, well away from the image area. A very richly inked impression. Doel Reed was born on May 21, 1894 in Logansport, Fulton County, Indiana, and was raised in Indianapolis and took his first art lessons at the John Herron Art Museum while in grade school.

Son 7
