Brooklyn Bridge

This is an original etching by American artist Charles Adams Platt. The title of this work is :"The East River Bridge" - Brooklyn Bridge It was created and printed in 1888 and published by Frederick Stokes New York. The image measures 6 3/4X10 7/8 inches. It is signed and dated in the plate and also pencil signed lower right border.

San Gimignano

Original etching by American artist and author Joseph Pennell. This is a very early image by this important artist. It is titled: "San Gimignano", it was created and printed in 1883. This etching is signed and dated lower right in the plate, not hand signed. This impression was published in Germany and has the "Original Radirung von J.Pennell" in the lower edge of the plate. The image measures 10 3/8X8 inches, printed on a warm toned wove type paper, very fine condition. The image appears in the Wuerth catalog as image number 52. Nice use of plate tone in the forground.

Sunset,New York Harbor

Original 19th century etching by New York etching club member Henry Farrer. The title of this work is Sunset, New York Harbor. This etching was created in 1879. The etching is signed and dated in the plate lower left. This plate was apparently printed in a German edition, in the lower right is printed, "Original Radirung von H.Farrer". A fine and detailed composition, well printed with nice use of plate tone in the sky and water. The image measures 7 3/4X11 1/2 inches. Printed on a medium weight wove type paper, very nice condition.

It is printed on a thin chine collet paper adhered to a thicker sheet. The image measures 3 X 5 1/8 inches. A rich impression. This image appears in the Wright catalog as image number 6..

Castle of San Juan De Ulua Vera Cruz

Original Plate signed etching by American Artist Thomas Moran. The title of this work is: "The Castle of San Juan de Ulua ,Vera Cruz" It was created and printed in 1884. This etching has an image size of 11 X 9 1/2 inches. Nice use of plate tone in the sky and water. Printed on a medium weight wove type paper, full borders all around, illustrated in the Gilcrease catalog as image number 49, 3rd state of 3, from the Cassell portfolio "Twenty American etchings".. 1884 This fortress guards the entrance to the harbor of Vera Cruz.

Original etching by Peter Moran, titled: "The Pool", created and printed in 1884. This is an unsigned proof, Identified on the accompanying published description from the portfolio published by Cassell Publishing Co. in New York. The image measures 7 7/8X 11 5/8 inches.

Lustheim, The Goose Pond

A richly inked etching from 1879. Pencil signed in the lower left. Andrew Danube set #18. Plate monogrammed in the lower right, plate titled and dated in the lower left. Image measures 6 x 10 3/4 inches, plate measures 6 3/4 x 11 3/4 inches on 11 1/2 x 17 1/4 inch wove paper. Andrew Danube set #18. Bacher began etching in Cleveland in 1876 and continued his art in Munich, Paris and Venice.

Coastal Fishing Village

Drypoint etching after Rudolf F. Bunner. Plate monogrammed by Share in the lower right, signed by Bunner in the lower left. Pencil signed by both. Plate measures 10 1/2 x 16 1/2 inches on 15 x 19 inch laid paper. Inscribed in the lower left: "Copyright 1886 by C. Klackner, 17 E. 17th St, N.Y." This print has excellent detail, plate toning, and a rich drypoint burr.

Drypoint etching C. 1885. Plate signed and dated in the lower left."The Bridge of Saragossa" inscribed in the lower right. Catalog: Rice 67. Plate measures 4 x 5 7/8 inches on 7 5/8 x 10 3/4 inch wove paper. Printed in brown-toned ink, with plate toning and fine detail.
