On the Test

This is a very fine original etching and drypoint by British artist Sir Francis Seymour Haden. The title of this work is "On the Test", state VI/VIII. This etching was created in 1859 and its subject is one of the famous Trout streams in Hampshire. The image measures 5 15/16X 8 15/16 inches, pencil signed lower right and also signed in the plate. This appears in the Schneiderman catalog as image number 24.

Au Marais inonde le Berger

This is an original etching by French artist Auguste Lepere. The title of this work is: "Au Marais inode le Berger", In the Deluged Marsh. THis etching was created and printed in 1911 in an edition of 50. THis one is numbered as 27/50. The image measures 7 3/4X9 1/2 inches. It was last sold by Keppel in New York and came to us in the original frame with the Keppel label on the back. A very fine example of Lepere at his best, showing the Peasants working in the Marais district of Paris.

Croton on Hudson

This is an original etching by Russian American artist Abbo Ostrowsky. This etching is titled: "Croton on Hudson", circa 1931, this etching has an image size of: 10X7 3/8 inches. This is a view of the Hudson river in New York. Pencil signed lower right, nice use of plate tone to show detail in the street.

Cowdray Castle with Geese

This is an original etching by British artist Sir Francis Seymour Haden. It is titled: "Cowdray Castle, with Geese", this etching was created and printed in 1882, it is the 4th state of 5, pencil signed lower right border and also titled and dated in the plate lower left. The image measures 6X9 1/2 inches. Printed on a laid type medium weight paper.

Jeune fille au chat

This is an original drypoint etching by French artist Berthe Morisot. It is titled: "Jeune fille au chat", it was created in 1888. This was printed from the cancelled plate. There are two small holes drilled in the plate upper and lower edges of the image. The image measures 5 7/8X4 1/2 inches. This etching is unsigned as is typical of this image. It appears in the Keller catalog as image number 88. Printed on a medium weight wove type paper.

Royal Windsor

This is an original etching by American artist Joseph Pennell. The title of this work is: "Royal Windsor". It was created and printed in 1903 in an edition of 35. The image measures 6X11 inches, printed on a thin laid type paper, some finger prints from the printing in the borders and on the back of the sheet. Pencil signed in the lower border. This image appears in the Wuerth catalog as image number 279.

The Passaic Meadows

This is an original etching by American artist Mary Nimmo Moran (1842-1899) Mary was the wife of well known artist Thomas Moran. The title of this work is "Passaic Meadows"
It was created and printed in 1879. This etching is plated signed within the image lower right. The image measures 5 1/2X7 1/4 inches. Printed on a medium weight laid type paper

The Whale's Back

A fine winter scene by American artist Kerr Eby. This one is titled: "The Whale's Back", it was created and printed in 1925 in an edition of 90. The image measures 6 1/2X11 15/16 inches.
This etching was most likely taken from a scene near the artist's home in Connecticut. The artist used platetone to show the sky. His signature has the "imp" after his name, meaning that he printed this proof himself in his studio.

Still Hollow

This is an original hand signed etching by American artist Kerr Eby. The title of this work is "Still Hollow". It was created and printed in 1936 in an edition of 100. The image measures 10 3/16X14 1/2 inches. It is a combination of etching, aquatint and sandpaper ground. A fine use of plate tone in the snow fields and sky. The scene is most likely one near his home in Connecticut. The signature has an "imp" after the name meaning he printed this proof himself.

Top of the World

This is an original etching by Kerr Eby titled: "Top of the World", it was created and printed in 1928 . The image measures 7 7/8X5 3/16 inches. It was taken from a scene in Brittany, France harbor, based on Ebys visit to Great Britian and France during 1924 and 1925.
