Miner at Rest

This is an original hand signed etching by American artist Irwin D. Hoffman. This etching is titled: "Miner at Rest", it was created and printed in 1937 in an edition of 100 and was sold by Associated American Artists in New York. The image measures 11X8 inches. It comes with the original AAA gallery label. Printed on a medium weight wove type paper, very nice condition, a rich impression.

L'Enfant Prodigue

This is an original etching by French artist Jacques James Tissot. It is titled:" L'Enfant Prodigue", from the series The Prodigal son in modern life. "The fatted calf" This etching was from the first state of 2 in an edition of 100. This edition was done before the type set text under the image and this one is quite rare that it is also hand signed by the artist in the lower right corner as well as plate signed and stamped with the red seal in the lower left. The image measures 10 3/4X14 1/2 inches, the platemark measures 12 1/4X14 1/2 inches.

An original etching and aquatint by British artist Leonard Russell Squirrell. (1893-1979) The image measures 10 3/4X10 3/4 inches, printed on a wove type medium weight paper. Squirrell studied at Ipswich School of Art and exhibited at the Royal Academy. His work was illustrated in , Fine Prints between 1925-1938. A rich impression, pencil signed and titled in the artists hand. Possible titled is: "Halstens Domain", printed circa 1930.

This etching is inscribed as Trial Proof #2, from the later published edition of 50. The image measures 14X9 1/2 inches.Isac Friedlander (1890-1968) was born in Mitau, Latvia. He was arrested in 1906 and imprisoned by Russian authorities for anti- Czarist Political activities from 1906 to 1912. He studied art at the Academy of Rome, Italy from 1913 until 1917.
