Oil on canvas, 18 x 23 1/2 inches, in a very fine period gilt and gesso frame. There is a partial obscure signature and date in the painting lower right, the early label on the back is from the gallery of Charles G. Calder who was a well known Providence, R.I. painting dealer, also on the back is a partial label from Whitaker studios. This is a fine Barbizon style landscape painting by American artist George William Whitaker. Whitaker was a teacher and important painter in Providence R.I. and was known as an American tonalist, influenced by George Inness and Alexander Wyant.

This landscape measures 12 5/8 x 9 1/8 inches and is signed on the reverse in pencil as "E. A. King", housed in a period frame. We are attributing this painting to Elizabeth A.(Bessie) King who studied at the Chandler School of Art in Detroit and was a member of the Atlanta Artists Association.

This collage by Nora Unwin measures 15 1/2 x 19 1/2 inches and is matted and framed. Created in 1972, Unwin gives the viewer a look past a rocky seawall to the water's distant horizon line. Her use of cloth, textured paper, glue and colored ink skillfully adhered to a painted background was one of her favorite mediums to display her genius, giving the viewer this three-dimensional effect. Signed and dated in the lower right corner.
A verdant New England landscape by Massachusetts artist Edward Burrill, oil on canvas, 9 x 12 inches, 1885, signed and dated in the lower left corner, framed. Edward Burrill was a Northshore artist known for his landscapes and coastal scenes. He worked out of a Boston studio for a time but was primarily based in Lynn, MA, and knew many of the important artists of the day, including John J. Enneking, Winslow Homer and Joseph Cole. He exhibited his work regularly at the Boston Art Club for many years, also showing his work at the Silas Barton Gallery and the Lynn Art Club.
Oil on canvas, sight size 17 x 12 inches, 1918,unsigned, attributed to Joseph Elliot Enneking, an American Impressionist painter known for his New England landscapes. There is a hand written title "Hog Island, Maine" and date "June 27 1918" on the bottom edge of the canvas and on the back but no clear signature. Period Gilt Frame
