On the Commons, 1880

This is an original signed oil on board by American artist Peter Moran.  The title is: On the Commons, created and painted circa 1880.  This image was also created as an etching that appears in the Wright catalog as image number 39.  The scene was supposed as to the suburbs of Philadelphia or possibly on Long Island.  The painting signed lower right measures 12X20 inches, in very nice condition, housed in an ebonized period frame.  The etching is also titled Oxen by a Stream.  The composition is identical to the etching.
