This is an original drypoint etching by French artist Louis Legrand.  It is titled: Poupee (doll)  It was created and printed in 1911.  This is from the 2nd state, signed only with the artists red stamp in the lower right border.  It is editioned as 55/60.  The image measures 8X6 1/2 inches.  It is printed on a Legrand watermarked medium weight wove type paper.  Excellent condition.

This lovely image of a young girl by the English printmaker Mortimer Menpes measures 5 3/4 x 3 1/2 inches and is pencil signed with an "imp" after his name indicating he was the printer. Etching and drypoint, dated 1882 in the plate. Menpes attended the School of Art in London in 1878 and started exhibiting at the Royal Academy in 1880. He became a major figure in the etching revival, producing more than seven hundred different etchings and drypoints, which he usually printed himself.

A great image of a Spanish bull fight, this etching with drypoint measures 10 1/8 x 11 1/2 inches, published in 1929 in an edition of 100, pencil signed and numbered. Hermine David was born and raised in Paris and at the age of 16 was accepted into the Ecole Des Beaux Arts, later going on the study at the Academy Julien. She was a well known painter and printmaker and was very active in the thriving artist community in Paris in the early 20th century. She was married to fellow artist Jules Pascin for several years, but in 1920 the couple divorced and David set up her own studio in Montparnasse. She went on to have a long successful career as an artist and illustrator and was awarded the Legion of Honor in 1932.

This is an original etching by Czech artist Emil Orlik.  The title is: Arab Story Teller, Arabischer  Marchenerzahler, created and printed in 1912.  This pencil signed impression measures 9 3/4X7 1/4 inches.  cataloged as Glockner 29.  This etching is currently framed.  The image was created using a combination of etching with Roulette for the shadows.

This is an original etching by British artist Mortimer Menpes.  The title Shaded Entrance was created and printed circa 1920.  The image measures 11 7/8X8 3/8 inches.  hand signed in pencil with the imp after his name, this means he printed this proof himself.  Printed on a medium weight laid type paper with the Menpese watermark.

This is an original color etching by Austrian artist Tavik F. Simon.  The title is: Nocturne in Auray, Brittanny.  This image was created and printed in 1911 in an edition by G. Petit of 200 signed impressions.  The image measures 11 1/4X16 3/8 inches. ..Pencil signed by Simon lower border, printed on a medium weight watermarked laid type paper.  This image appears in the Novak catalog as image number 179.
