He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and traveled extensively throughout Europe, as well as Asia and the U.S. He lived in Paris from 1905-1913, then returned to Prague to teach at the Academy of Fine Arts. Simon was an exceptional painter and printmaker, and is best known for his atmospheric color etchings and aquatints.

This is a remarkable original etching by Czechoslovakian artist T. F. Simon, depicting the stunning architecture of the Puente Nuevo bridge in Ronda, Spain. The image size is 13 1/4 x 9 1/8 inches, published in 1913 in an edition of 150, cat: Novak-206, numbered in pencil with the artist's stamp lower left, pencil signed lower right. The Puente Nuevo was designed by architect Jose Martin de Aldehuela, and was built over the course of 42 years, from 1751-1793.
