Original etching by American artist and author Joseph Pennell. This is a very early image by this important artist. It is titled: "San Gimignano", it was created and printed in 1883. This etching is signed and dated lower right in the plate, not hand signed. This impression was published in Germany and has the "Original Radirung von J.Pennell" in the lower edge of the plate. The image measures 10 3/8X8 inches, printed on a warm toned wove type paper, very fine condition. The image appears in the Wuerth catalog as image number 52. Nice use of plate tone in the forground.

This 1885 etching by F. Leo Hunter of the Old East India Wharf measures 8 1/2 x 11 1/2 inches and is pencil signed by the artist on the lower right.
This is a beautiful original etching of a farmer plowing a field with a team of oxen. The image size is 3 1/2 x 5 5/8 inches, 1875, unsigned. A rich impression on a medium weight laid type paper.
